Loft paintings – what are their characteristics?
Although the loft style is mainly associated with neutral colors, such as white, black, gray and possibly the color of red brick, loft paintings are not sad at all. These are very often abstract forms in which you can find a whole palette of colors.
However, this is not the only way to decorate walls in an industrial interior. Black and white photographs and graphics also fit perfectly.
Industrial interiors, as a rule, should be high, which is why loft wall paintings are characterized by quite large sizes. However, if you arrange the whole apartment or house in this style and want to decorate a smaller interior, e.g. a bathroom, then in our offer you will also find small paintings.
Features of the loft style and paintings
If you want to choose the right images for the interior, it is worth paying attention to what elements of the loft style you draw from. If you bet on architectural concrete or its imitation, the interior you create can be quite dark. So it's great if there is a source of daylight in the room, but it is still worth taking care of a few lamps, because the ceiling lighting itself may be too weak to expose the image. In this case, it is worth mounting a special wall lamp above the image, which will illuminate it. If you do this, you can hang black and white graphics on the walls, and yet the interior will not seem sad. However, if you want to revive the room, then abstraction with elements in vivid colors will be better.
On the other hand, in the case of red brick walls, gray images will look great, as well as photographs in warm sepia tones.
Characteristic motifs in loft paintings
In lofts, all paintings that will refer to modern art will work. They can be crazy abstractions or economical minimalist paintings. Urban illustrations are a frequent motif, in particular showing large metropolises. For lofts and industrial interiors, you can also choose black and white graphics.
What you decide on largely depends on your taste. You can experiment so that the interior fully suits you.
On canvas or on glass – which industrial painting to choose?
Loft paintings available in our offer are made on canvas or glass. Which one to choose? It depends mainly on what your preferences are. Glass is a smooth material and can gently reflect light, which can be both an advantage and a disadvantage of an image. In turn, the canvas has a slightly more classic character, but it is worth framing it in a frame, in this case preferably minimalist and unobtrusive.
